Description
A knit blanket, dyed by The Lovin' Spoonful founder, John Sebastian.
The knit blanket features a multi-colored tie-dye pattern throughout. No size or label present. Please note: holes and fraying present from age and use.
The blanket was dyed, c. late 1960s- early 1970s, at the 46-acre artistic community near Studio City called "The Farm." According to Sebastian, after he ran out of clothing to tie-dye, he would dye anything else within reach including sheets, socks, undergarments, and blankets like this one. Sebastian would then use them/hang them up in the tent he lived in on the property.
