Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan, ca. 3rd century BCE to 6th century CE. A splendid pottery bowl featuring a rimmed base and flared walls painted with geometric designs in orange and light blue stucco on a red ground. Black slip envelops the interior walls, exterior rim, and base. Size: 9.2" Diameter x 3.5" H (23.4 cm x 8.9 cm)

Professionally repaired with some chipping and adhesive along visible break lines. Small chip to rim and some scratches and abrasions to surface as shown. Nice remaining pigments and detail. Old collection label on underside of base.
