US Army Model 1872 Cavalry Officer Sword. Single edged, bright blade with fuller. Double acid etched with patriotic and floral patterns. Maker marked by W. Raymold New York. Leather buffer pad present. Decorated three-branch "D" guard with American eagle in relief. Fish skin and twisted wire wrapped grip. Gold bullion officer sword knot. Steel scabbard with decorated brass fittings.

Total Length: 38"
Condition
Fair. Blade has moderate oxidation, dark spots, pitting and rust. Hilt is loose and has patina. Scabbard has pitting and finish wear.
