A CASED GEORGE III SILVER VINAIGRETTE
by John Bettridge, Birmingham 1818, rectangular with applied foliate borders framing an engine-turned ground to both the top and bottom, the gilt interior with a pierced and foliate engraved grille, engraved with script initials. 3.8cm long
The marks are clear. The hinges are in good order and open and close well. The vinaigrette is in a lovely red leather case. It shows some signs of wear but is structurally sound and opens and closes well.
