TITLE/CONTENT OF MAP: 'Carte géographique, statistique et historique des Indes Occidentales'
The map shows the Caribbean coast of a unified 'Gran Colombia' - the short-lived state that at the time of publication included present-day Colombia, Venezuela & Panama. The island of Hispaniola is undivided, having been unified under the Haitian government since 1822, a situation that persisted until only 1844.

TYPE: Very decorative early 19th century antique hand-coloured engraved map. Text in French.
CONDITION: Fair-to-Good: There are two small patches (each c.2 cm sq - one to the south of Jamaica, the other to the north of La Guajira, Colombia), where the paper is relatively thin which has resulted in some localised, fairly inconspicuous light creasing. Please note any other blemishes on the scan prior to purchasing this picture. Virtually all antiquarian maps and prints are subject to some normal aging due to use and time which is not obtrusive unless otherwise stated. We offer a no questions asked return policy.
