19th Century oil on canvas portrait of President Zachary Taylor, portrait after the 1847 Battle of Buena Vista Lithograph according to the Smithsonian Institute of “Gen. Z. Taylor Rough and Ready”. Provenance: The painting was given to William Dudley Talley from Taylor himself to solve a debt. Taylor’s daughter Mrs. Gerald Webb remained neighbors to Deidre Talley Allen & Manfred Allen of Colo. Springs, the great grandparents of the current owner. Square canvas - 30 x 25, frame - 40 x 35.5
