Japanese. 1960s. Lithographed tin. Robots are one of the most collected toys, performing all types of tasks while extending human capabilities. They are the things kids dream of as evidenced by various television shows, movies, and books. The toy is marked "SH" representing the trademark of the Horikawa toy company. Marked, "Made in Japan", on battery compartment. Marked, "S.H", inside lower edge of front mechanical opening panel. 11.25" x 6" x 4". From the Late John D. Anderson Collection.
