A charming oil on wood painting of ships in a harbor, all expressively rendered with loose, sweeping strokes atop a white ground. Vertical sails rise from a menagerie of vibrant hues, abstractly outlining each vessel and starkly contrasting the white sky and sea, and undulating strokes extend below, indicating the boats' reflections atop the gentle waves of water. Size without frame: 6.75" W x 4.25" H (17.1 cm x 10.8 cm); with frame: 10.75" W x 8.25" H (27.3 cm x 21 cm)
