Native American, Alaska, Inuit, ca. mid-20th century CE. A fascinating doll hand-carved from reindeer antler wearing pants and boots of seal skin, beaver fur, dyed fabric, and animal hide. Armless, the figure stands tall with a minimalist form comprised of a slender torso, sloped shoulders, and a round head. His stark visage features huge, ovoid eyes beneath arched brows, a petite nose with delineated nostrils, and a straight mouth, all crowned by a coiffure of black pigment. Size: 1.6" W x 6" H (4.1 cm x 15.2 cm)
