East Asia, China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1368 to 1644 CE. A beautiful ensemble of 3 ceramic vessels, each hand-painted with elaborate, blue-on-white designs. Most petite of the lot, the bowl features flared walls and a ring-form base with a scrolling vines and flowers along the exterior and a tondo of floral motif at the center of the deep basin. Similarly, the 2 other vessels are supported by ring-form feet but instead display wide-spanning walls and shallow basins. The interior of each features intricate, abstract designs with the figure of a bird at the center of the basin. Size of largest (bowl with densest decoration): 10.2" W x 2.1" H (25.9 cm x 5.3 cm)
Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010

Condition
All have some minor chips, nicks, and pitting, as well as stable fissures in areas, but are otherwise intact with nice remaining decoration and scattered encrustations. Nice craquelure to glaze.
