Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696-1770) lithograph titled Madonna of the Goldfinch. It is after the original which was painted in 1760 and now hangs in the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. There is a matching U.S. Postage stamp showing the same painting that is attached to this lithograph and both have been stamped by the USPS on the first day of issue of this stamp which in 10-28-1982. This lithograph was produced by The National Gallery of Art using gallery-quality materials and the color is managed in a manner that produces a reproduction as true to the original as modern technology will allow. It is matted and framed under glass in a simple, black frame. Acquired from a Metro Washington DC estate. With frame, it measures 29.5 inches x 35.5 inches., 18.5IN x 24.5IN (47cm x 62cm), LOT REF #24-428
