Trompe-l'œil oil on canvas of a violin, bow, sheet music and a letter in front of a wooden door. Letter addressed to W.M. Harnett. Having a giltwood frame, H 41.75", W 28". Provenance: Collection of a prominent, Grosse Pointe Park, MI collector of American art.

Professional conservation. Relined. Horizontal lines of overpaint above the violin and across the violin. Spots of overpaint below the violin and in the background.
