RARE CANADIAN UKRAINIAN NEWSPAPER WINNIPEG 'CANADIAN RANOK', 1952
Canadian Ukrainian newspaper, Winnipeg 'Canadian Ranok', from 1952. It is a nice historical item and is suitable for a historic museum or private collection.
TEST: It's passed very important test: it does not glow under a black light. All modern paper glows under a black light.
CONDITION: Very good condition for its age. For further information, please refer to the pictures.
PROVENANCE: 1. From an old, large collection, passed down through a Ukrainian emigree family in Dover, Delaware, USA (originally from Lviv, Ukraine); 2. Our sale of this item adds another layer of provenance (please print this page). History of sale is very IMPORTANT for serious collection.
DIMENSIONS: 555 x 377 mm.
ESTIMATED PRICE: $50 - $300 (significantly lower than today's market price).
WARRANTY: The buyer has 3 days to inspect items for originality, valued at up to $5,000, and 5 days for items valued at $5,000 or more. Items can be returned to the seller for a refund; please refer to the Terms for more details.

HISTORY: Ukrainian Canadians are Canadian citizens of Ukrainian descent or Ukrainian-born people who immigrated to Canada. In 2016, there were an estimated 1,359,655 persons of full or partial Ukrainian origin residing in Canada (the majority being Canadian-born citizens), making them CanadA's eleventh largest ethnic group and giving Canada the World's third-largest Ukrainian population behind Ukraine itself and Russia. Self-identified Ukrainians are the plurality in several rural areas of Western Canada. According to the 2011 census, of the 1,251,170 who identified as Ukrainian, only 144,260 (or 11.5%) could actually speak either the modern Ukrainian language or the historic Canadian Ukrainian dialect.
