Anuszkiewicz is a premier artist and one of the founders of the Op Art movement in the 1960s and 70s. His main body of work centers around the effects of juxtaposing complementary colors at full intensity, and how our eyes interpret these geometric abstractions.

New Glory is an excellent work representative of his repertoire, as it utilizes his techniques of nesting shapes within each other repeatedly, and alternating intense shades of complementary colors.
