A rare and historically significant sequential series of four photographs, three card-mounted and one unmounted, documenting the hanging of Elijo Hidalgo and Francisco Rentezia on July 23, 1904. Taken from a window of the Prescott Arizona courthouse, these photographs provide a chilling visual record of the execution of Hidalgo and Rentezia for the murders of Charles Goddard and Frank Cox at Goddard Stage Station.
