Japanese. 1950s. The Yoneya family from Tokyo, Japan originally used the "SY" trademark, as it was more anglicized than their family name and therefore hoped it would attract Western world toy markets. Marked, on rear of swing and bottom left corner of box lid.

Condition
Overall good condition with minimal use apparent. The original box shows wear and tear. The wind-up function works. Some oxidation to wind-up switch. A few faint scuffs and scratches. Light oxidation around base and underside of toy.
