Description
Japanese. 1950s. The Tilt-A-Whirl, Merry-Go-Round, and Ferris Wheel trucks are marked "TN" within a black diamond, representing the "Toy Nomura" trademark. The Nomura Toy company was pivotal in shaping the toy industry by manufacturing innovative and high-quality toys that became popular in Japan and worldwide. They were known for meticulous detailing and clever mechanical features in their products. Marked, "Japan", drum of Elephant. Marked, "TN" left rear of truck bed on Tilt-A-Whirl. Marked, "TN Made in Japan", left rear of truck bed on Ferris wheel. Marked, "TN Made in Japan", ride base at front of green horse on Merry-Go-Round.
Size
Ferris wheel: 5" x 8.5" x 3.25". Merry go round: 4" x 8.5" x 4". Tilt a whirl: 3.25" x 7.5" x 4.5". Elephant: 5.75" x 8.5" x 3".
Condition
All trucks are in good condition with minor scuff marks, paint chips, and scratches on hoods, truck beds, undersides, and bumpers. Elephant head and Tilt-A-Whirl are not secured to bases, so they come off easily. Friction and bells function correctly on all toys except the elephant.
