**Smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman (Pre-Model 28)

.357 Magnum. 4" barrel length. SN: S175331. Blued metal refinish overall with blued finish to the backstrap of the spur and mounting black rubber Pachmayr grips. Double action hand ejector six-shot revolver. Item mounts adjustable rear notch and matted front ramp sights. Features the four screw frame and pinned barrel construction. Standard make and model marks include four-line address to the right frame, and Smith & Wesson trademark to the sideplate. The left frame has been struck GSP, likely indicating it was once in the possession of the Georgia State Patrol.

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Very Bright with strong rifling throughout. Blued refinish displays some light edgewear and scattered light scratches in addition to a continuous turn ring. Brown patina forming in the turn ring, and to the flanks of the trigger. The hammer spur shows gray patina forming, and the barrel pin has oxidation around the seam. Some further oxidation visible along the edges of the grips. Action times and indexes correctly.
