TWO SANCAI-GLAZED POTTERY MODELS OF COURT LADIES
Tang Dynasty
Each figure elegantly modelled wearing long flowing robes, with a shawl draped around the shoulders, the hair dressed in a high chignon, decorated in green, amber and cream glazes.
The largest: 27cm (10 5/8in) high. (2).

Condition
The head and neck areas of one of the models have been replaced; some restorations to the bottom of the robes of one model; flakes and chips, a notable one to the lower section of the body of a model, approx. 1.2×1 cm; typical firing imperfections; some wear and abrasion overall to the glaze and surface.
