Description
Vacant Gilt-Metal Case for a Singing Bird Automaton, c. 1900
Probably Bontems, with re-entrant corners, decorated with panels of floral sprays and baskets, the lid with motif of torch and quiver in relief, wd. 3 7/8 in (9.8 cm), overall good, possibly regilded, defects in gilding on the underside. - Note: Unused original stock, the lid is unattached and the case front has not been drilled for the activation slide. A useful resource for study or restoration.

Vermutlich von Bontems, mit gerundeten Ecken, verziert mit Tafeln mit Blumenranken und Körben, Deckel mit Reliefmotiv von Fackel und Köcher, Breite 9,8 cm, insgesamt guter Zustand, möglicherweise nachvergoldet, Vergoldungsmängel an der Unterseite. Unbenutzter Originalbestand, der Deckel ist nicht befestigt und die Gehäusefront wurde nicht für den Starthebel gebohrt. Ein nützliches Teil für Studien oder Restaurierung.
