Item Details
Description
(Disneyland, 1950s-60s) A tsuzumi drummer in a kimono made of china. Figures like this were sold on Main Street, U.S.A. at Ruggles China & Glass House, which was in operation from the Park’s opening day until 1964. The store was named after actor Charlie Ruggles, who portrayed a china shop worker in the 1932 film “If I Had a Million,” and starred with Hayley Mills in Disney’s 1961 hit “The Parent Trap.” Measuring 2.75” x 5.5”, the drummer is in very good condition with light scratches and wear. The figure’s original sticker, which reads “Ruggles China & Gift House,” is still intact on the bottom of the base.
