[RUSH, BENJAMIN et al]. Minutes of the Proceedings of a Convention of Delegates from the Abolition Societies Established in Different Parts of the United States, Assembled at Philadelphia. Philadelphia: Printed by Zachariah Poulson, 1794. First edition. Stitched in original blue paper wrappers as issued, partially unopened, housed in a brown morocco-backed box with gilt lettering. 8 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches (22.5 x 14 cm); 30 pp. The wrappers with old stains, the rear wrapper with worming losses, clean internally.
First edition reporting the proceedings of the first convention of abolitionist societies in the United States which took place in January 1794. Two months later Congress outlawed the foreign slave trade. This pamphlet is rare, and scarce in original wrappers. Evans 26533.
