Original publisher's binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe; quarter burgundy sharkskin, gray cloth sides. 12 1/2 x 7 3/8 inches (32 x 18.5 cm); [iv] pp., including title, 101 pp., initials in red and blue, plus colophon leaf, illustrated throughout with 17 wood engravings by Robert Gibbings. Light wear to extremities of binding, slight pale spotting to the cloth of the boards.
An elegant book, one of Gibbings's best sets of illustrations for the Press. Chanticleer 62.
