[INDIA-HUNTING DIARY]
Shooting 1864-1881 [Cover title]. Modern full brown morocco gilt in slipcase. 5 1/8 x 6 7/8 inches (13.5 x 18 cm); approximately 100 ff., with a few laid-in maps, sketches of hunting terrain etc.; the end of the book has some further interesting notes on the guns used, as well as three finished ink sketches of hunting adventures, newspaper clippings of Indian racing events, etc. The binding fine, internally a few leaves toned or stained, generally clean and legible.
Included is an account of a two-month hunt in the Salt Range of the Punjab, and much on hunting in Cashmere. Markhor and ibex were the primary game hunted by the expedition.
