About the artist: Born February 2 (January 20?) 1914 in Simferopol. Studied at the studio of N. Samokish in Simferopol (1922-1931), at the All-Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1931 - 1937). Teachers by profession - M. Samokisha, V. Shukhaev, I. Brodsky. He worked in the field of easel graphics and painting, mainly in the genre of landscape, in particular, marine. Member of the National Union of Artists (1958). Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1978). Laureate of the State Prize of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (1997). People's Artist of Ukraine (2004) Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded with a medal. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1949, all-union since 1955, personal - Kiev, 1955, 1956; Leningrad, 1960, 1963, 1964; Yalta, 1954, 1961, 1963; Simferopol, 1961, 1964.
