A Rare Walkies* Rotating Back 5" Camera (for Paper Negatives).

The camera is fitted with a Meyer- Goerlitz 4 3/4" f4.5 double anastigmat Helioplan lens which uses rack focusing, with focusing between 1.5 to 3.5 feet. The body is a heavily worn steel frame painted black with a leather grip and marked '15'. It uses a cruciform waist level finder, with a crank for cocking the shutter and a lever for actuation. The back rotates to portrait or landscape orientation and there is a chest buffer plate on the back for ease of holding. Includes a black case marked '15'. Similiar to those used by Sunbeam, on England's south coast.

*Designed for paper rolls (usually 100 exposures) and used by seaside or "walkies" photographers. The resulting paper negative was re-photographed to produe a positive print which was sold on-site to the subject.
