Description

He saw his first battle at Laon in 1594 and was wounded during the capture of Saint Jean d'Angely in 1621. In 1622, he was promoted to Marshal of France. In 1626, he inherited the title Duc de Lesdigu”res from his father-in-law. In 1633, he was ambassador to Rome, then to Venice in 1636.
