Vintage 1969 Psychedelic Poster by Lothar-Gunther Buchheim PIPA POP. Lothar-Gunther Buchheim (1918-2007) was a German war reporter, painter and art collector. He processed his experiences aboard a German submarine in World War II by writing "Das Boot" which was made into a movie that enjoys cult status today. His collection of German expressionist prints can be admired at the 'Museum der Phantasie' in Bernried, Germany. Buchheim was also a prolific artist during the 1960s and created many witty posters and art prints which were published by his eponymous publishing house, the "Buchheim Verlag". This piece is an original 1960s print in very good condition and measures approximately 24" x 17". A great piece of 1960s flower power hippie pop art featuring mesmerizing color and style that will draw looks wherever it is mounted.
