Bannos, Vivian Maier: A Photographer's Life and Afterlife, Chicago, 2017, pl. 12. Maier shot extensively the day that Taxi was filming on location on this NYC street. According to research by biographer Pamela Bannos, Maier may have been taking photography classes and often using a studio darkroom in the building featured in Taxi.
