Vivian Maier (American, 1926-2009) Street Scenes of a Changing Chicago (6 works), 1960s Negatives 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches (6.4 x 6.4 cm) (images) From the Ron Slattery collection These six negatives show street scenes of a changing Chicago. One strip shows a sequence of three images that are recognizably from an emerging Latino community. One image shows a car advertising Panaderia El Parriso parked outside what was before then the Behensky Bakery, and two focus on children walking and posed against a graffitied wall. The second strip shows one image of a local store cat, and two shots of a woman laden with a heavy sack, who Maier inches progressively closer towards. No prints are included in the lot. Overall excellent condition with no visible defects. Lot contains two strips of negatives with 3 images on each strip.
