Description
Jefferson Davis Junior's billfold, with his name and bank ink gilt to front flap – from his time working at State National Bank of Memphis, where he worked for a short time before his death. Jefferson David Jr. was Jefferson Davis's second son. Born in 1857, he lived a relatively short life. He moved to Memphis, where his brother-in-law had found him a job at the bank; however, he contracted yellow fever and died shortly thereafter, in 1878. A nice leather billfold, measuring 7.75" x 3.75".
Condition
Some light scratching and rubbing, all intact, overall light wear consistent with age.
