Biography: A March 18, 1954, born in the city of Sonsonate Pineda Cesar Menendez, ten years went to live with his parents to the city of Armenia where children and adolescents living a life surrounded by custom and nature. At an early age and as a result of an innate vocation to the arts involved in the first contest, the winner of First Prize in the Student Painting Contest, organized by the Ministry of Education of El Salvador. This distinction is made worthy of a scholarship to the newly opened National Arts Center (CATER), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. In 1976, already established in Fidelia Acosta Marriage to Costa Rican nationals and decided to devote himself full time to his passion for the Arts, in his first solo exhibition held in the Exhibition Hall of the Bank Atlacatl event prepared with great enthusiasm and expectation but eventually only perceives the assistance of his family. Amid the disappointment always remains a fighting spirit and quest for realization of dreams of artistic growth, and this was only the beginning of a race-based forged commitment, dedication and talent. From this experience comes a friendship with Mr. Hugo Lindo who becomes her mentor in the art world from 1977 to 1979 in Offshore Gallery. Subsequent to this event comes another deep friendship with the painter Julia Diaz, who invited him to participate in another exhibition at the gallery opening doors Form that precede a chain reaction of exhibitions and national and international awards, starting with 1979 with the First Prize International Paint XEROX CA. and Panama. In 1986 as a result of increasing screening in the North American market receives the recognition of the first prize of the First Biennial of Miami, and in 1987 an honorable mention in the Biennial of Art in Ecuador, later in 1988 discussed in the Senate Gallery Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1990 received a new recognition of his talent with the second prize of the National Painting Contest at the National Exhibition Hall in El Salvador. In 1991 traveled to Florida where his style and artistic quality is recognized, as a result, establishing an alliance with Elite Fine Art in Coral Gables as a representative in Florida taking the time to Jose Martinez Canas, a well known Art Dealer Latinoamericano. Staying at the famous Hotel La Palma and exposed for 4 consecutive years (1991 to 1994). From there, the projection of its ongoing work in 1994/1995 and again performed exhibitions in El Salvador with the Century 21 and Space Galleries, so in the same year 1994 he received a medal of Honor of the French Government as Chevalier of Arts and Letters. In 1996, discussed in the Image Gallery of Panama. And in 1997 he returned to New York City and began a series of exhibitions with the prestigious Brewster Gallery, in the same period his work at Sotheby's auction and Gary Nader Galery of New York. In 2000 and 2003, continuing his career with exhibitions at the Gallery Picture of Panama and later in 2004 with the Museum of Art Latinoamerican Long Beach, where he presents his first retrospective. In 2005 he returned to his hometown and is appointed meritorious Son of the City of Armenia, Sonsonate. 2007 is a year when he returned to Guatemala City with an exhibition at the Gallery Charles Woods. And finally in 2008 decided as a contribution to the arts in their country to create an open space for classical and contemporary founding the Gallery in San Salvador Tribeka, thereby opening opportunities for young artists and masters of painting Salvadoran.
