Antique Victorian Cotton Brassiere and Ivory Silk Bodice. This pairing includes 1 white cotton corset cover/brassiere by H&W Sheathlyne. Featuring an eyelet design at the yoke and straps, 4 thin steel stays, 2 button back closure with a waist tie, and a front facing strap for pinning to ones underskirts. Laying flat the cover measures: bust 17'', waist 14 1/4'', length 13.5''. It is in fair condition with rust to the 4 steel stays, rust stains, and holes at the tops and bottoms of the sheaths of the stays. Also included is 1 Victorian ivory silk demask evening bodice featuring a lovely wheat pattern, cap sleeves with 3 layers of the same silk with rouched pickups creating a scalloped edge. As well as a high round neckline, tailored waist, 16 hand finished holes at the back for lacing, and 2 hook and eye closures at the back waist. The maker is unknown. There is a small hand written label inside that has the numbers 5903. It is lined in ivory polished cotton. Laying flat the bodice measures: shoulders 14'', bust 13.5'', waist 11 1/4'', length 18''.
