Two Antique Victorian Ladies Bodices. Antique c1880 Victorian day bodice features a white printed cotton with middle eastern inspired motifs, a yoke and collar made of dark grey ribbed silk with applied front pleats and ruffles. As well as hook and eye front closures, internal boning, and a back hook for securing ones skirts, The bodice is beautifully constructed inside and out. Laying flat it measures: shoulders 11'', bust 15'', sleeve 21'', waist 12.5''. It is in good condition for its age with slight yellowing and discoloration to the printed cotton outer shell, fading to the grey silk yoke and collar, yellow stains on the back left shoulder, and large internal stain at the back of the neck. As well a the top front collar beginning to come unsewn and yellowing to the inner cuffs. Along with an antique c1880 Victorian bodice features an outer shell of ribbed chocolate brown silk with 2 applied front facing scalloped tapered strips of long pile auburn brown silk velvet trim along the bodice and sleeves. As well as a heavily embellished yoke with a mix of tight tapered at the waist and loose pleats at the yoke with applied matching silk rosettes with velvet centers and classic puffed sleeves. The bodice is beautifully constructed and pieced with a tan polished cotton lining, steel boning, and hook and eye front closures. Laying flat the bodice measures: shoulders 12'', bust 15'', sleeves 22'', waist 11.5''. The bodice is in good/slightly fair condition with fading at the collar and shoulders, a large water stain on the back, wear to the pile on the silk velvet trim, degraded thread securing the hook and eye closures.
