This is Comedy Dancer by Joseph Emmanuel Descomps. aka in French Danseuse au Masque. This bronze piece is on a green granite base with a nameplate. This beautiful sculpture is depicting a woman in gypsy-style costume holding a mask, cast signature on base "J Descomps,". The sculpture is in good condition with no known damage.

Joseph Jules Emmanuel Cormier (Joe Descomps) (French, 1869-1950).

Joe Descomps studied under Hiolin. He exhibited regularly at the Salon of the Societe des Artistes Français, and designed and executed a wide range of objects in the Art Nouveau and art deco style, including jewelry, sculptures in bronze, stone, and ceramics. In the 1920s he concentrated more on small-scale sculptures, mostly in bronze and bronze/ivory.
