This lot consists of a hand painted Gouache on paper in the style of the painter Georges Braque. Georges Braque (Argenteuil-sur-Seine, May 13, 1882 - Paris, August 31, 1963) was a French painter and sculptor. Together with Pablo Picasso he was one of the initiators of Cubism.He was born into a family of artisans. He grew up in Le Havre and studied at the School of Fine Arts (École des Beaux-Arts) from 1897 to 1899.He arrived in Paris in 1900. There he studied first at the Humbert Academy, where he met Marie Laurencin and Francis Picabia, then, from 1903, at the School of Fine Arts.
