Offered here for your bidding pleasure is a vest that was owned by Bill Bender and two original Bill Bender paintings. Bill Bender, a working cowboy who was also a well known artist and illustrator of the cowboy west, blended realism and romanticism to capture the landscape, history, and culture of the west. The landscape is an example of the art for which he is known, but the other painting is unique, being a lovely portrait of a Vietnamese woman from the artist's time serving in Vietnam. The vest was specially made for Bill Bender, and is of nice, soft, pliable leather and in very good condition. A very nice selection of art and artifacts from a well known artist and veteran. PROVENANCE: These items come from a storage unit in the Victorville, CA area believed to have belonged the famous Godshall family who, among other things, had the famous C-G guest ranch near Victorville. This info was based upon the contents from the locker. In time, the contents were sold at a public auction. Well-known artists Victor Clyde Forsythe, James Swinnerton, and Bill Bender were all associated with the C-G Ranch, as well as with each other, and there were numerous items from these artists, and the Godshall family in the locker.

SIZE: Large Picture in frame measures approximately 28 inches wide x 24 inches high. Vest measures approximately 15 inches armpit to armpit x 23 1/2 inches long
