Offered here for your consideration are a painting and limited edition. book by/about Beatien Yazz. Beatien Yazz was born near the Wide Ruin, Arizona area. He started by sketching early. Yazz's work has been in collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Gilcrease Museum, The Logan Museum of Anthropology, The Museum of New Mexico, and several more. His first exhibition was done at the young age of 10 at a museum in Springfield, Illinois. Yazz studied at the Wide Ruins Day School, Sante Fe Indian School, Fort Wingate Indian School, and at Sherman Indian High School. Yazz served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII where he utilized his Navajo language and joined the Code Talkers. After his return he dedicated his time to art. APPROX AGE: Fairly Modern (meaning 1980s or newer).
SIZE: Both items measure 10 inches square.
CONDITION: Good for their age with normal wear. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
