Description
Available here for your consideration is a large vintage Navajo Storm pattern rug by Helen Smith. This is a beautiful Navajo textile with it's symmetrical design and coloring. The weaver added the symbolic elements of the 4 sacred mountains, water bugs, and lightning to this rug in a way that makes it really come alive! The colors of the rug add to the overall beauty with the simple blending of grey, gold, black, and white. Storm Pattern rugs have a great history starting with the Red Lake Trading Post at Tonalea, or possibly with John B. Moore of Crystal who had a mail order catalog of Navajo rugs in the early 1900s. The Storm Pattern rug is a stunning example of fine Navajo weaving! Make this one your's today!
