Description
JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINTS, LOT OF TWO, comprising "Sekkyo or Ishibashi" from the series "Pictures of No Performances (Nogaku Zue)" by Tsukioka Kogyo (1869-1927) housed under glass in a modern frame, and an unframed reprint of "The Courtesan Konosumi" from the series "Beauties of the Southern Quarter (Nangoku biin awase)" after Kitagawa Utamaro (c. 1754-1806). Late 19th/20th century. Framed print 13 1/2" x 9 1/4" sight, 16 7/8" x 13" OA.

Condition
"Sekkyo or Ishibashi" in very good visual condition with light toning and discoloration, frame with wear and other imperfections including warping along top edge; "Konosumi" in very good visual condition with areas of light toning mostly along edges, possible losses to background silver ink or being as made, two corners applied to mat, edges possibly cut down.
