[Boston Massacre] First Edition "Orations Delivered at the Request of the Inhabitants of the Town of Boston to Commemorate the Evening of the Fifth of March, 1770; When a Number of Citizens Were Killed by a Party of British Troops, Quartered Among Them, In a Time of Peace." Boston: Peter Edes [1785]. Containing a number of speeches given by Dr. Joseph Warren, Dr. Benjamin Church, and others. Also includes the memorial oration given by Perez Morton at the funeral of Warren following his death at Bunker Hill. Full leather binding. Hinges worn with some cracking, corners with losses. Partial page losses to some endpapers and blank page before Perez oration. Appears otherwise complete. C.F.L. Pullen bookplate. Charles Pike inscribed name. Ex-libris Charles Francis Adams, who was the great, great grandson of President John Quincy Adams and great, great, great grandson of president John Adams.
