U.S. Browning M1917 wooden construction ammo box, 12.5 x 8 in. The hinged lid bears an inset leather handle and spring-loaded closing/locking latch. The interior retains the three stenciled bullet diagrams on the floor of the box to remind the packer which way the bullet heads must point when inserting a loaded belt. The exterior paint is chipped in some places, else very good.
