Description
British Pattern 1907 sword bayonet, 17 in. blade and 22 in. overall, for use with the Short Magazine, Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle used universally by British troops during World War I, and in large numbers during World War II. The pommel is stamped with the serial number ‘E 23927’. Complete with wood grips and a deeply fullered and Parkerized blade. Markings on the ricasso include the British War Department's ‘broad arrow’ property stamp over several other indistinct proof marks and the date ‘1907’. Housed in a black leather scabbard with black painted throat and drag. Fine.
