Description
World War I radio receiver set, approx. 10.5 in. long, of wood and metal construction, for use by a German radio operator either in the trenches, or by lineman operating who also used this type of receiver in the field for testing and also to communicate messages from various wire junction locations. On the reverse is a steel hanging loop for hanging from a switchboard or from a lineman's belt. At the center is a white push button as well a brown wood switch lever on the side to initiate use. Handle portion is covered in black painted canvas. Attached to the bottom of the receiver is a cloth-covered wire, terminated with two test leads for temporary connection to radio circuits, not the usual radio styled plug. Also features a wooden earpiece of the earliest manufactured style. Very good.
