Description
Mixed lot of eleven souvenir items from the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Includes: two leather coin pouches, stopwatch, powder compact, ‘800’ silver spoon, rowing badge, commemorative coin set into black plaque, harmonica, two stamps, and a coaster. Each item bears some variation of Olympic insignia. SOLD WITH two photo postcards, 5.5 x 3.5 in., with one showing runner Helen Stephens receiving an autograph from Hitler and the other giving an aerial view of the Olympic stadium, one card postally used. Accompanied by a period photo of a swimming competition during the games. Overall, very good.
