Description
Collection of three mem-o-maps, 10.5 x 14 in. color, drawn by John G. Drury of the 214th Ordnance Battalion in 1945, and showing Okinawa, Oahu, and the Philippines. Mem-o-maps were used as a souvenir map for troops to revisit their experiences, and featured cartoon-style images to lessen the harsh realities of war. Each map bears a legend with blank sections for ‘name’, ‘organization’ ‘advancement’ and ‘ship names’. A fine collection with only minor creasing at some corners.
