Description
Good grouping of 14 documents and a photograph from the administrative office of a forced labor camp in the German towns of Stadtroda and and Goschwitz, both near Jena, Germany. They concern, in part: rations of all sorts to be given to Polish prisoners; reduced soap rations; Poles transferred to railroad track construction, a demand for increased output from the laborers which is considered 'significantly lower than that of German workers' and calling for the use of 'appropriate measures' including withholding tobacco and additional; food, leave, and additional benefits, notice of increased performance following the restrictions; registration of ethnic Germans; several letters concerning and photograph of Janusch Szymanski, forced to work on a farm and apparently to be transferred to an armaments company, a printed set of safety instruction in Polish, issued to the enslaved railroad workers, and other related material. Overall very good. A rare grouping!
