The movie played on basic Nazi stereotypes of Jews having hooked noses and being materialistic, immoral, cunning, untrustworthy and physically unattractive. The main character, a Jew, unsuccessfully pursues and then rapes a non-Jewish woman, who then commits suicide. He is executed, and all Jews are expelled from the state. The film was a huge success in Germany, having over 20 million views.
