Photo album, 8.5 x 6 in., assembled by a Japanese soldier during the World War II era and containing 41 b/w photos. Images include: closeups of soldiers in uniform, group photos of soldiers posing with and without their weapons, local kimono-clad women with their children, traditional buildings, gardens, sentry on duty, and locals enjoying a day at the beach. There is also a newspaper clipping with a photo depicting the 24th Independent Infantry Battalion as they make their way through a city in ruins. A few loose photos and also several pages bearing glue remnants from missing photos. Minimal wear to the covers, else very good.
