Description
One of the most famous photographs from the D-Day invasion is that of Dwight Eisenhower giving a pep talk to members of the 101st Airborne shortly before their departure to parachute into France. Offered here is a 1994 D-Day fiftieth anniversary commemorative cover bearing an image of Ike offering his encouragement to those soldiers, postmarked June 6, 1994, signed by two of those he was addressing in the photograph: Cpl. BILL HAYES and First Lt. WILLIAM C. STROBEL. The cover is loosely mounted beneath a copy of the famous image. Fine.
